About the author

Vlad was born in Russia and first studied the technique of photography while he was in the middle school. The dark room class was installed in the school and he spent time there after regular classes. He began by taking casual shots of friends and family, but what was originally a pastime quickly blossomed into serious study after reading /The Poetics of Photography/ (Mihalkovitch, V., 1989).

He studied the history of visual art, the digital image processing, the physics of light and another science in Altai state university.

Vlad have joined the Houston Photographic Society and the Northwest Houston Photo Club when he has moved to Texas in 2002. He studied the photography in Glassel Art School in 2009-2011.

Since 2011 he got passion in film making. Few short movies has been released including two for 48 hours film project and full feature film "Frankenstein's Monster" (2013) - steampunk adaptation.
